The First 31st Blog Post

“Before this year ends I would like to started this blog.” This has been a thought for sometime now and I have been trying to write that first blogpost for a couple of months now. The post I figured should be the so called pillar article and so should be about how it happened, a background of sorts, for I want this blog to be a place to document all that is to come.

But that pillar article is writing itself into a couple of floors…

2023 has been a momentous year. I started this year still mourning Cuckoo, in the first quarter Senti got diagnosed with Cushing’s and a fast growing tumour, just about when I stabilised Senti and came to terms with his conditions, I went in for a bilateral hernia surgery mid-year. Follow-up on that led to getting diagnosed with two one-in-million conditions - JAK2 and Budd Chiari Syndrome.

Life changed forever and yet it feels the same.

It’s been a while since I wrote a blogpost, long enough that I didn’t notice when my blog disappeared. This year though has given me impetus to write again, and so begins a new blog with a somewhat plan to write about my conditions and life with them. To be seen how this evolves, much like my life with V617F & BCS.

Enough words for a first  post…
